Obama Care: Rationing of Health Care

Sunday, October 31st, 2010

Dr. Petryk’s Thoughts: I have been telling people for quite a long time about the alleged “great health care” that other counties have. People like the ever useless Michael Moore produce movies attempting to paint 3rd world nations as having “superior health care.”  Unfortunately, there are still many who are lost and so oblivious to the truth that you buy into these lies. Somewhere in the near future, some Michael Moore want to be is going to start espousing the merits of Stalin’s and Hitler’s healthcare.

Again I will remind everyone that I started as an ambulance volunteer at 15 years old. I was later in the Medical Corp of the U.S. Army and since my discharge have worked in numerous fields of medicine… and I am now in my mid 40s. I have lived abroad, watched, studied and learned about healthcare and history. I am a first generation American, son of Ukrainian immigrants, and I am here to tell you that you better wake up and smell the coffee.

Yes our healthcare system has its problems but I challenge you to produce “factual information” and not statistics compiled by WHO (World Health Organization) before you denigrate our system. Investigate these claims because if you didn’t know, those statistics are a complete farce and based on criteria most intelligent people wouldn’t dare consider.

First: You must be proactive with your health. Stop eating all that garbage, lose some weight and chose a healthier lifestyle. You can get off at least half of those medications if you just do that.

Second: Get up off your empathetic and apathetic posterior ends and get involved in addressing and more importantly solving the problems that do exist and the ballot box is a great place to start.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!

Dr, Petryk’s Thoughts: I have long told patients that there is a time and place for surgery however; all conservative measures need to be exhausted first. If there is a neurological deficit then there is immediate cause for consideration but pain is seldom a good enough reason and most patients who have surgery because of pain, don’t have very good outcomes.

Dr. Petryk’s Thoughts: Parents need to read this article and remember that sometimes we try to do things that we believe to be “in the best interest of our children” and yet we often fall short of the most basic things.

Artificial Sweeteners are Being Re-Named

Don’t Like Something… Then Change The Name

Dr. Petryk’s Thoughts: I have told patient’s for many years to avoid the use of any of the artificial sweeteners. When you’re going to sweeten something then use sugar. Much like the ad campaigns for Coca Cola used to say… its the real thing.

Get Sugar in the Raw. Sugar that hasn’t been processed with chemicals like formaldehyde, or bleached. You can also use Stevia or Agave which are both natural.

By the way: if the label reads Low Fat… throw it out!!!! Low Fat means more sugar or some type of sweetener has to be added to make it “taste good.”
